Malai Kofta curry making
To make Malai Kofta Curry we need the following Ingredients:
For kofta: Potato’s(grated): 100gm | Cottage Cheese(mashed): 250gm | Green Chillies (finely chopped): 2 |Cornflour: 1/4 cup | Salt to taste | Raisins: 1/4 cup | Oil: for deep frying
For Gravy: Onions(chopped): 3 | Oil: 3 tbsp | Ginger Paste: 1 tbsp | Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp | Green Chillies (chopped): 2 |Coriander powder: 1 tsp | Turmeric Powder : 1 tsp | Salt to taste | Tamato puree: 1/2 cup | Red Chilli Powder: 1 tsp | Mawa(khoya): 1/2 cup | Fresh cream: 1/2 cup | Garam Masala Powder: 1 tsp
For the koftas, mix potatoes, paneer,green chillies, cornflour and salt.Divide into 16 equal portions.Stuff raisins into each portion and shape them into balls.Heat Sufficient oil in a kadhai and deep fry k0ftas.Drain on absorbent paper and keep them warm.For the gravey, boil onions with a cup of water for 10 minutes.Drain excess water, cool and make a smooth paste .Heat oil in a kadhai, add onion paste and saute for a minute. Add puree and chilli powder and saute for a minute.Add puree and chilli powder and saute on medium heat till oil begins to leave the paste.mix mawa into two cups of water and add to the gravy.Bring it to a boil and simmer for a 10 minutes on low heat.Add fresh cream and garam masala powder.Place warm koftas in a serving dish, pour hot gravy on top.
